How to Apply

We are delighted that you are thinking about joining the Oasis Byron family!

Here at Oasis Academy Byron it is our mission to support your child on their path to success. We believe each and every one of our young people is capable of reaching their potential with the support of the academy family and friends.

We are a non-selective Academy open to pupils of all religious faiths and those of no faith.  Admissions at Oasis Academy Byron are co-ordinated under the online application form via Croydon Council. If you are a parent or carer and wish to apply for a place at Oasis Academy Byron for the following September, you will need to complete the online application form via the Council website.

Applying for Reception Places

Applications for Reception places should be made via the local council.  If you wish to apply for a a place at Oasis Academy Byron, please contact Croydon Council Primary School Admissions on 020 8726 6400, or visit their website.

In-Year Applications

Spaces for in-year transfer to all year groups are allocated via Croydon local authority. An online application form must be completed and submitted to the local authority. However, we do welcome initial enquiries directly to the Academy regarding in-year transfer and contact details are at the bottom of this page.

 

Appeal Arrangements

For organising and hearing admissions appeals the key dates for 2022/23 can be found on the Croydon website. For in-year applications, appeals are heard within thirty school days after being lodged. Where an appeal is submitted after the deadline, the appeal may be heard at a later date.

 

Transfer to Secondary School

Children in Year 6 at Oasis Academy Byron should note that transfer to Oasis Academy Coulsdon is not automatic and the online application form must still be completed.
