Welcome to Oasis Academy Byron Nursery

We wish you a very warm welcome from our Nursery team. Here at Oasis Academy Byron’s, we understand the importance of your child having the best start in their education, and we work hard as a family of staff to make this happen. Working in partnership with you, your child will be guided through their emotional, social and physical development preparing them for primary school, in a play-led exciting environment. Our dedicated and committed team cannot wait to embark on this journey with you. 

Our Nursery classes  N1 (2- 3yrs old) and N2 (3 – 4yr olds) are located within the academy school site.  We have 40 part-time spaces, split between a morning session and an afternoon session. Full day places are available for children eligible for 30-hour funding, as well as the 15-hour government funded places from 2yrs upwards.   

Our Nursery provides the perfect introduction to learning and gives children confidence and skills to transfer to Reception class.

Whole Day (30 hour code) or   5 morning and 5 afternoon   sessions (15 hour code) plus    20 unfunded hours)	8.30 am - 3.30 pm*   (does not include funding for Lunch Club)

Start Dates 

We have a major intake in September of children who will turn 3 or 4 during that academic year. We value every child for their individuality and know that each child will settle into the Academy in their own way, so we work closely together to ensure a smooth transition. Before your child starts in the Nursery they will be invited to a ‘Stay and Play’ session where they can meet the staff and get to know the Nursery environment. 

Uniform 

At Oasis Academy Byron we ask all our children to wear a uniform. The children in Nursery enjoy wearing their uniform and it makes them feel part of the school. School uniform that includes the school logo, for Nursery children this is only the navy sweatshirt which can be purchased at Mapacs which can be found here.
