We're delighted to welcome our new Principal who has worked in a leadership role within the education industry for many years.
Joanna Poplett officially took up the post of Principal at Oasis Academy Byron at the start of the new term and is eager to continue to build and drive forward the great work already taken place at the academy.
Joanna became a teacher in September 2000 having graduated and qualified from the University of Warwick, with her undergraduate degree and then the University of Oxford with her PGCE in teaching. She has been a senior leader, and most recently a deputy headteacher, in two South London schools spanning 11 years.

Since before the summer term, Mrs Poplett has enjoyed many informal conversations with pupils, and looks forward to countless more this term as she gets to know the academy.
