Year 4 Hold a Happy Lunar New Year Assembly

Year 4 celebrated the Lunar New Year in a special assembly, focusing on China. The children learned about the Lunar New Year and Chinese traditions, and presented a powerpoint presentation full of interesting facts and information. They came into school dressed in bright colours and created their own lanterns to add to the atmosphere. In their role play, they demonstrated how each year was assigned to an animal. They then sang the traditional Chinese New Year song, called ‘Gong xi, Gong xi’. A HUGE thank you to all of the parents/carers who provided costumes and came to show their support.
